I have a 2003 4wd Edge that I'm looking to make upgrades to....specifically removing those torsion bars.
I've looked around here and a little on dezert rangers, and i've found two ideas that interest me, but i can't figure out the difficulty level or $$ for each of them. i also wanna make sure they're both actually possibilities for my truck.
first would be a TTB suspension. how difficult would it be to do a torsion bar to TTB conversion? i was thinking of running something like they have on autofab (http://autofab.com/Ranger home.htm) although i'm not sure on model 28, 35, 44. 44 would be the beefiest, right?
second option is getting a superlift then ditching the torsion bars for coilovers. i've heard of this but really can't get too much detail. getting the superlift is fairly straightforward, but after that i can't tell how difficult or expensive it would be to put in coilovers.
of course, there's always the dixon bros kit i'll ask my buddy warren buffet to loan me the money if that's the route i go
