Gasoline was a by-product of the oil refining process originally, and the world will always use/need refined oil, so there will always be gasoline and diesel, just cheaper
You can make your own alcohol to power ICE, in fact that was Henry Ford's original idea and marketing strategy for farmers, but because gasoline was so cheap it became the "go to" fuel

You should test drive an EV
Throttle response is impressive
Slowing down takes some getting used to because of regenerative braking, kind of like driving a manual when you take your foot all the way off the gas pedal in a lower gear, its almost like applying the brakes, so with EVs you slowly ease off the gas pedal to come to a stop

Not sure I would quote Plato
Those that can, do
Those that can't do, Teach
Those that can't teach, Teach P.E.
Those that can't do, can't teach and can't teach P.E. are philosophers(or politicians)

Plato was a philosopher
Post physique, indeed, not, lol

Ever hear of Bybon?

Cool dude, lived some 2300 years ago.

Here's his rock:

proxy-image (23).jpeg

The inscription is as follows:

proxy-image (24).jpeg

Or, translated:

Bybon, son of Phola, has lifted me over [his] head with one hand

Fascinating to note, that "lifted" in ancient Greek can translate to either "lift" or "throw"

Even more fascinating, Bybon's rock weighs 316lb.

And the most fascinating thing to note, Bybon never drove no stinkin' EV.

I'm not saying correlation equals causation, but once again, the appearance of EVs directly correlates with the disappearance of men like Bybon.

I have no interest in them. Throttle response and acceleration isnt as fun when there is no noise to go along with it

It's an advertisement

You are probably right, unless you subscribe to "Ancient Astronaut theories", Bybon(or Plato) never shopped around for EVs, but same could be said for ICE vehicles at the time

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
The year Oderus Urungus was stolen from earth and brought home to scumdoggia there was a 23% increase in EV sales...

Coincidence?

Absolutely not.

Oderus Urungus was the alien frontman to the best band that's ever given themselves the goal of extinguishing all human life.

Here he is shown murdering millions of potential EV buyers with the Biledriver.

I've been nearly drowned by the thing on countless occasions... but I seem to be impervious to their methods.

Of course... I piss gasoline so..

Another curious coincidence:

Ancient Greek gym membership card.

Rough translation is: "Herminus has paid his entrance fee and is now a member of the sacred boxing society devoted to Hercules."

So what we do know, is that like Bybon, Herminus was also a high-testosterone Greek that was capable of lifting heavy things over his head, and fought other men in a sacred boxing society devoted to Hercules.

We also know that there weren't no T*sla supercharger in the parking lot of his gym.

Just sayin.

The day they start putting charging stations in the parking lot of a Gold's - MAYBE - maybe I'll take them seriously.

But ima be honest, these newfangled power wheels seem to be a testosterone killer. Ain't my style.

Either that... or herminus was a fat angry schmuck who needed a workout and wanted to punch people 🤔

Either way, stronger than an ev driver, which means his opinion was more valid.

Average US driver drives 50 miles a day, not sure how "range" is a downside for 90% of the population
I feel that average is very misleading. That may be the median, but the swing is huge. The big end of that bell curve is way below 50 miles/day. In fact I'd say the majority is less than half that. A whole lot of people doing way less than 50, against a few people that do WAY more than 50.

For myself, if I drove straight to work and straight home I'd have to recharge every 3 days. That rarely happens, I can't guarantee the ability to charge like that. A single trip to my hunting property I'd be on the equivalent of fumes when I get home, if I made it home.

I think the rest of us are.

So should we be writing it tESLA?
