Guess those bad auto trannies and door hinges are finally catching up to Ford. Beware lots of incoming used parts to a dismantler near you.

i saw that too. i think it has more to do with the fact that the explorer was the best selling for vehicle for a number of years though rather than them being clunkers. which a lot of them probably are though.

Most of the Explorers I have seen in for the program are 98-00 style.

What a shame. Nothing good comes form this bill. Focuses are awful to ride in and worse to look at.

Maybe because you're what? 6 ft 4? I'm 5 ft 8 and they are comfortable.

Last time I was at the dealer, it's only 50% US parts content. Oh sure, it's assembled in Michigan, but it's less American than a Toyota Camry or Nissan Altima.

I actually say it because of the cheap interior, nasty seats and total lack of foresight in placing everything. I have plenty of leg room.

I suppose, the 09 Focus we had as a loaner from the dealer was nice and comfortable.

My college roomate had a '03, it was a nice car. It rode and handled pretty good for an econobox/college kid car. The looks were a little different, but there are not too many cars I really like the looks of anyway.

The rebate thing applies to any car company, if the majority of people prefered a Toyota or Honda that is what they would be selling the best. For the heat Ford has taken in the past, it says a lot for them to have the best selling car now.

Kind of ironic the Explorer gets to help save Ford twice, once coming and once going...
