Can anyone definitely tell me if the EGR or Bushwacker fender-flares will work on a 2000 flareside truck? I see some guys using Ranger Edge flares, so I am assuming the aftermarket ones will work as well (in spite of the both companies saying "no"), but I would like confirmation before dropping nearly $350! Thanks!

Why not go find some at a junkyard? Just clean em up spray em. Of course make sure they fit first. You'll deffinately have to drill holes for em. I just think it'll look weird but that's me.

Do the Bushwacker flares bolt straight up? Any hole-drilling involved? What size (1", 2", etc) did you go with?

Thanks

I co worker has a set of factory flares that came off of a 97 fleet-side bed & he has them mounted on his 98 step side. I have seen several people do away with the factory clips & use thin 3M brand tape along the body mounting surface & then screws along the wheel well lip in the factory holes that are in the flares.

The inner fender well is held on with five 5.5mm screws. I had them held on with those as well as some other self tapping screws too. So I had 6 extra hole with the self tappers.
