Was researching exactly which transmission I could swap out for my FM146 and it appears that anything to present models (rangers and explorers) will bolt right into my 1988 with only some minor modifications i.e. will need to make my own manual transfer case linkage mount, and use the 6 bolt flywheel. and match up the slave cylander appropriatly and shifter.
Is there anything else that I should watch out for with a swap to a M50D-HD?
