ford gt, gt40,gt90,gt700,gt900?

anybody know anything interesting about these models? from what i read, the Ford GT is a GT-40 inspired suppercar with a supercharged 5.4. Ford hadconsidered calling it gt40, but since rights to the name Ford Gt ford had been sold To a company called Saphire engineering, then to a company who called themselves saphire gt40 spares who wanted $40 Million for rights, and according to ? from saphire gt40 spares, ford recently declined an offer of $8 million for the name. ford also tossed around the idea of using other numbers, such as gt-43 considering the new gt is 3 inches higher than the original 40 inches of the gt40, that was canned. previously in 1995 a concept was designed(possibly built) named a gt90 and claims of up too 409Km/Hour capabilities were made. from what i read it was said to be powered by a quad turbocharged v12 and make 720hp.

it appeared on playstation's gran turismo 2

the GT40 had some horrible aerodyamic issues, the front end started floating at high speeds, due to the low hood line when taller drivers were racing it they made special bubble roofs.
the gt40 was made due fords obsession to win le mans.
they had cobra289 engines and carroll shelby was in charge of the racing proyect.
the original gt40 was made by lola a london company who sold it to ford

gt 2 huh? well. i guess it wasn't and in the dark project but you probably drove the only functional one haha

that thing looks sick, but the wheels are gay. nothin on the gt90? i had a friend tell me the gt90 was a name for the new ford gt and nothing to back that up.

yeah the Ford Gt was inspired from Fords GT40 that beay Ferrari in Le mans in the 66 they only made them for 2 years 2005 and 2006 theres a guy in town that has 2 on them theres a Ford Gt thats twin turboed called the Ford GT TT that thing is quick

was the twin turbo gt built by hennissee? cause they called the tt gt's a gt700. i found that out. and the gt's were also sold for part of 07... the rest i knew. but thanks for da info
