Well why you say this I do agree that should be able to bail themselves out as well as the other manufacturers. But however I have got very good friends here in KC where one of the ford plants is like a block from me are losing jobs everyday at this plant. Which is very bad being some of these people have been there for approx 10+ yrs. I feel for my friends in this situation.

A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O
Ford is definitely the least-badly managed domestic mfr... I hope they make it, as I like their products best, and would like to be able to count on parts out to 2020...

GM should look into carving off salient divisions for sale... at one time, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Buick, etc. were independent family-owned companies.

SOMEONE will buy those factories, jigs, and tooling... considering the roles those factories played in WW2, it would be sadly ironic if some of those buyers had German or Yapanese accents, but at least they'd be employing Americans.

I understand you dude. It's really terrible for these people who are losing their jobs. But it's inevitable. Ford has to do it to save itself.

Gm took the money and still laying people off. We really dont want the Federal Govt with their hand in the auto industry. The auto industry has been a risk to work in for as long as I can remember(4o yo). Ford will come back, not too sure how GM will do and Chrysler, who knows. Fiat said that they dont want to buy them because of the Unions.
