so yesterday i went over to my work since it was a holiday(good Friday) to try and see if i could get my "new" 89 BII xl 2wd 5speed to run. my boss and his buddies were going to be there to put the 4" suspension lift on my bosses 89 jeep grand Cherokee (i think it is), and work on one of his buddies "bogger" jimmy.
anyway after my godfather and i killed the lock tumbler (had to drill it out no keys) we proceeded to try and start it. and low and behold it started with no problem . had a little lifter tick but went away after a second.
i nearly jumped out of my skin i was so happy
so i drove it around the yard, and everything seems to work perfectly . not to bad for $220
it seemed to run alot quieter than the 86 BII i rebuilt.....
so i went to the junkyard to find a a "new" steering column, and a instrument cluster with a tach.
my question is will i be able to plug this new cluster and the tach will work or do i have to do some wiring???
thanks, just thought i should let you all know
