I'm installing a new engine in my 4.0L SOHC. Got the engine in and all ready to go, filled up with oil. Was working to get my transmission in when I noticed a oil leak from the oil filter adaptor , where it mates with the engine block. I installed a new o-ring, cleaned the surfaces with acetone before putting it together. I included a photo of the part in question below:
Any suggestions as to what I should do now?? I'm thinking that it's going to be easier to pull off now and fix as opposed to when I have my tranny in. Should I put RTV in there in addition to the o-ring????
Thanks for any suggestions. I am trying to get this thing together today so I can start it up for the first time tomorrow....
