yeah members here have found their belts to be off by 3-4 teeth (2.3's non-interference) and just feels real sluggish then peps upish around 3k rpms so that could be a good place to start. Just a heads up I wouldn't trust the timing mark on the belt cover I'd find "actual" TDC manually.

Well, I checked the timig and it was spot on. I bought a new belt and idler assembly and couldn't get the pulley hub off the crank. Bent my puller. :mad:

I looked it over and the belt seemed like it had been replaced before and was in pretty good shape, but I still wanted to swap it. Just could'nt get that damn hub off!!

Had to let mine soak in pb blaster for pretty much ever then a few light taps with a rubber mallet then slid it right off.
