Which wires? Maybe pics would help...

Are you referring to an electric shifter?

You need a reverse light pigtail and then you splice that into two of the wires(purple/orange and black/pink) that come out of the 5-pin connector at the trans. One is nothing to worry about, and the other two( I don't recall off-hand the colors) are the neutral safety switch(If you plug them in you will only be able to start the the thing in neutral.)

The transmission is from a 2004 ford ranger. There are plugs on the transmission are different and wires still hanging down i don't know if I just tuck them away?. Also they key doesn't work i have to jump the ignition relay to start and still it will crank sometimes but run horrible and backfire out of the intake. And I think it has so.sthing to do electrical i don't know what to bypass. Thank you

Did the engine run fine before you put the manual in?

Its a badass truck the motorr was just rebuilt its Makes crazy noise out of the intake

Did you use the engine with the automatic after it was rebuilt?

Yes the automatic before I put the
Manual in was and I don't know where the nss pig tail is to bypass

If it had the a4ld, the nss wires are in the five-pin plug that went to the automatic.

No see I also have a 2001 transmission thats wht I wanted to put in it at first but I put the 2004 in e everything bolted up just fine e just do t know electrical
