I need pro help

[Doom's Day Custom]

I have been try to install better games on my computer and it say that i need a shader model of 3.0 or better and the card the i have only runs 2.0 shader model.. my old card is a Hightech Excalibur Radeon 9550se .. I am looking into buying a new card with 512mb of ram ,so i can run my new games.. Please help and let me know what card would be the best to use

:O agp last agp card i got was a HD2400 with 512 ram, was ok for games like gta sa. i wouldn't except a butt load of preformance with agp with new games

I'm playing with an ati radeon hd 4650 with 512 mb gddr3 ram on my Acer Aspire with sempron 3000+, 2 gig ram, antec 450 watt. It's the last gasp before I buy or build a new computer. Played FEAR, currently playing Bioshock. Some areas in Bioshock stutter pretty bad but playable. I paid ~C$120.00 and it was hard to find.
