i just bought this lift of a kid for 150 buks, the thing is, im not even sure if this is for my truck . if it is i wasnt sure if it was all SJ parts. a couple of the parts say skyjacker but....anyway , he said the leafsprings were SJ but they have a ford part number? and he gave me blocks for the rear so i wasnt sure if i was supposed to stack the blocks on top of my factory blocks or are the leafs going to provide enough lift?i could use any help i can get identifying what parts are what and if i got screwed over. i looked at skyjacker website but some of the stuff looks a lil different. thanks

Not overly, most chuck em in the trash anyways.

You do need a drop pitman arm still. That is a must.

removing everything is easy, you can do that by yourself no prob. i mostly cut everything out instead of taking it apart. lol. i was switching out front axles, so it was going to the scrapper. i had to have my dad help me with some of the install though.

One thing I do not see is the Transmission crossmember. I had the Class 2 so I had extended radius arms, trans X-memeber. My kit came with extended endlinks for the front sway bar and extended brake lines as well as a bunch of various nuts and bolts. My brackets looked a little different but that was based on it being a class 2 I believe.

ok i cleaned the so called "skyjacker" leafs the kid gave me and they appear to be factory . they have a ford part number and f6 , so i figure they are factory leaf pack. the blocks he gave me dont seem to much bigger than the factory ones, surely that wont be enough so i guess im goin to save up for different shackles for the rear to acquire the extra inches...thanks again

Be sure to get a Skyjacker pt# FA600 drop pitman arm for it.
In spite of marketing claims, cheaper run-of-the-mill drop arms aren't dropped down enough for use at 6" of lift. The $100 cost difference of the larger arm should easily be made up 10× over just in reduced tire wear alone (not to mention better handling).
