Wandering through the yard yesterday at my favorite you-pull-it with a friend
(Looking for Volvo parts in the foreign section) a Mitsubishi caught my eye...
What I was looking for while he was part hunting was LED light"bulbs"
and this mitsubishi had LED lighted washer nozzles and Altezza tail lights...
It thought to myself "likely candidate" and proceeded to open the trunk to unbolt the tails and check to see what kind of bulbs... when I noticed something odd... a length of shielded cable running to the tails... "that's odd" at this point before Is ay anything my buddy says "you're gonna love this and hands me a Whelen 690 Strobe power supply....
Well that explains the shielded cable...
In the end I got the power supply, four 25foot strobe head cables
and three screw-in "hideaway" style 65watt strobe tubes.
I checked current prices at AW-Direct and the power supply alone is
$190, the 25foot cables are $37 each and the strobe tubes are $82 each...
all told almost $500 worth of strobe parts... what did they want going out the gate? $10 plus tax...
Ever see a 50year old man giggle? drop by my house and ask me about my score and you'll get to...
