well, the 700r4 decided to burn up on me last night, i guess my tranny guy didnt do such a hot job. figures.

but, i located a newer lower mileage one out of an s-dime for 250.00 and ill just flush it and reseal it.

they want 800.00 to rebuild mine, yeah, ill go to chevy and get a brand new one for that. i love automatics.

Go with a manual and you will have less to worry about, plus they are funner to drive.

Too much work to get one in. Plus I don't have that kind of money. That swap will cost at a minimum 1,000 bucks cause the cheapest I could get a tranny for is 700 bucks here.

Then I'd have to do the rear cause it would blow up the second day of driving.

For 250.00 I get it back on the road in a weekend

Dang, trannies really that expensive in your area? If I pulled the tranny and got the fly wheel and clutch stuff, it would cost me around $350.

Yep, every jy in ny wants 1,200 for a Muncie. A regular t5 is 800 bucks and I'd still have to buy a clutch for it.

And dg, I'm not brave enough to rebuild it myself. For 250.00 I get a warrantied trans and piece of mine.

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
hmmm.

i suggest you figure out why the tranny died bud. because if you have the tv system setup incorrectly your gonna fukkkk the next one up and the five others after that. all because you fugged up.

manual gm trannies are a bitch to find where i shop, and tend to be high dollar too because of that so i know where your at with that situation.

the 700 is actually an excellent tranny but you have to be critical on parts selection just like the ford aod.
