I'm in the market for the same thing. I also need to make sure I can get the right valves, guides, etc. I'm looking at RockAuto, they had 2 options last I checked.

I always wonder what's the deal when "new" parts require a core return.
down in the description the manufacturer is listed as Ford Motor Company.

In reference to the old 2.9 "new" heads, the castings were the problem. I think they used new castings and re manufacture the old valves from the heads you send in. Not sure if they reuse the old springs or not.

I bought a set from autozone. I think used was about 300$ a head. and new was 400$ a head. I have run about 100 miles on them and haven't had any issues. I have did leakdown test and compression test and they are holding great. I can't remember on the flex fuel piece specifically. I thought they had some there as well. Benefit of autozone is you can bring your old cores to any autozone. Everything i've read is there is little benefit to getting the flex heads.
