So if you look back on my post history I was trying to build a 4.0 with go fast parts. Didn't work, back ordered forever... Ended up getting a Cadillac lq9 (6.0 high compression iron block) did a full rebuild and re ring kit on it.

Then picked up a 2wd 6L90 for dirt cheap from a teacher. Kinda wish I would have gotten a 4L80 but this deal was too good to pass up.

This will be mated to a np241 from a dodge truck. Currently working on a hack and tap slip yoke delete for tthat

Biggest pain right now is figuring out controlling the 6L90. I ended up converting the third gen ls to a fourth gen. New crank wheel 58x and cam wheel 4x.

You can use a NP241 from a chevy too, I used a JB conversions SYE for my project.

Apparently dodge cases have bigger chains? Honestly the only difference is the two piece tail housing. Either way hack and tap is 400 dollars less than the JB kit

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Holley, edelbrock, chev performance, MS, and a few others offer trans controllers.

For the cost of some of those controllers a guy could just buy a th400 though..

Picked up ac compressor, power steering pump and alternator today as well as all the brackets needed. A/c is going to need to be relocated there's no way to keep it down low.

Also picked up Volvo 2 speed electric fans as well as output shaft for transfer case.

Another update, Ill keep them coming until it done. Traded the 6L90 for a 6L80 4x4 trans. Also picked up a np243 and converted it to manual shift. Going to be moving here into my own house so next update will be from there. Until them im just going to be piecing it together. All I have left now is exhaust and electrical, stock manifolds which i will loose power with but its fine, header maybe in the future. planning on full 3" exhaust with resonator and super 44. For wiring im planning on getting a computer/harness package. Ive looked at a few now but still deciding. Going to use a tablet to ob2 port for display.

I am ALIVE and still LS swapping my truck.
Engine is done. Just need little items for it. Transmission is getting flush and filter. Transfer case is clocked. Exhaust is started. All that's left is wiring and fuel. Need a single u joint for the 44/35 beams. That will be getting done this week or something next weekend.

Glad to here you're still moving forward.

Just a FYI, the Corvette w/p is shallower than the Camaro w/p which shallower than the truck w/p. What I mean is the corvette w/p is 1-9/16" skinnier than the truck w/p and the camaro is somewhere in between.

I know, I'm still using the truck accessory drive even though it sticks out the most. The volvo electric fans are slim there won't be any clearance issues.

The 44/35 beams are done now. New rims on the truck too. Also picked up a full-sized spare tire. Currently working on a buddy's LS swapped turbo blazer and got a second truck (98 f150 2wd) to have as a driver and dirt bike hauler for when I take this apart. Progress is slow because buying houses are expensive and I actually need to pay the mortgage.

Brakes are still okay on the ranger, the dodge 3500 master just doesn't seem to cut it. I'm going to try and figure out a performance cylinder like willwood to put on the truck.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I like that with the service body!
