Solid Axle Swap 4x4
hey every one so i have an 87 BII Eddy Bauer it has a 2.9 with an automatic. i had a push button 4 wheel drive and i was fed up with it not working so i took a manual t case from an 88 BII with a 2.8 5 speed. i put that t case in the 87 and changed the yokes for the rear drive line and switched the front drive lines cause the 88's was 2inches shorter. i put in the t case shifter and moved the transmission shifter and got it all good. the problem i am having is the shift linkage for the t case. the mount for the shift lever is about an inch forward and about an inch higher then the actual shift lever on the t case its self. its kinda hard to explain i don't have a pic at this time. but i tried just running a peace of metal between the two and the geometry is off. it only shifts into N when you put it into 4L i am kinda stumped and am wondering if anyone has done this swap or knows anymore about the geometry that needs to be achieved any help is appreciated. thank you :icon_twisted:
