Mega fuses were used on some years for the alternators B+ wiring, they were located on the outside of the engine fuse box, down at the base of the box, easily visible

But 1996 will use a Fusible link on B+ wire at starter relay(solenoid) on inner fender, not a Mega-fuse
You should see a Grey wire attached to larger post on starter relay, along with battery positive cable, that grey wire is the fusible link, it's other end will be connected to the Black/orange stripe wire coming from alternators B+ terminal
A fusible link is usually 1 or 2 gauges smaller than power wire(B+ wire in this case), fusible link wire will melt and separate if amps get to high, it's insulation will vaporize not melt and wire will also melt with out dripping, this is used so it can't start a fire.
Fusible links are used because they will tolerate momentary amp surges without "blowing" like a regular fuse would.
There are also two Maxi- 50amp fuses in engine fuse box, one is for ignition switch power and the other for cab fuse box power
