You mean an 1/8 mile or a 1/4? Need to see the time slip for the 10 sec ride, Bro. My 87 'Vette with a 495 hp motor went 10.5 at 134 mph. 0-60 in 3.6 secs. My 'Vette was set up for autocross racing and had a top speed of 212 mph.

Autocross racing was my thing. I raced at Sebring and I did SCCA rally racing. The 'Vette had a top speed of 212 mph.

could be wrong but i think what he means is that an autocross car doesn't need to go 212 mph right? its more about handling than speed in a/c so i think thats where the confusion came from stray

Yes, autocross is not a top speed issue. It is sometimes a really short or long twisty route and with direction changes that makes you concentrate very very hard or crash as I have seen many drivers do at one time or another. I was saying that my 'Vette had a top speed of 212. It still ran a great 1/4 time with 0-60 times that were stunning. Sebring is a beautiful race track and you can hit top speed on the long stretch at the back. That is always the best rush in the world to hit over 200 mph.

It is not in any record book and a 10 sec 1/4 with that truck would be mentioned, Bro. Never happened......

im with stray on this one. and the other question come to mind, why waste money on a old sonoma. Never understood ppl buying junk and dumping tons of money into them. I enjoy the fact i got mine with 20,000 miles and have everything i want to do to it done at 44,600 miles. some people make horrible investments.
