Reserved it at $23,590, from what I understand they cannot change the price from now till delivery? Hybrid FWD but they are scam artists. You want one little thing and it only comes with 10 other things in a "package" so I had to settle to get the few extras I wanted. Still not bad in my opinion. Fiesta is now for sale and I'm still debating private or selling to a place like carvana. 10k seems the low end so I'll have plenty to put down and can probably come up with the other 13k before fall. I really don't want another car payment. But the Maverick will do more than the fiesta can with better fuel economy. Ranger is staying for my weekend toy. Gonna baby the Maverick and start doing stuff I've always wanted with the ranger like a 4 inch lift...

Can't wait to be the first to own something untested and will undoubtedly have 400 recalls the day after it's delivered!

Congrats! Why the Maverick over the Ranger?
Because a $10,000 difference and 20mpg more is why lol.... I need a commuter truck not a beast.

Find me a ranger that gets 50mpg lol

I had drean last night and...yup, that's pretty much where it ended ;)

I get 21 highway but it was wierd getting 24mpg towing a small UHaul trailer from DE to FL with bad traffic in VA. Still haven't wrapped my head around that one.

My Fiesta gets 36ish highway, ranger can touch 26 on long hauls. Ranger sucks on short trips at like 15-16, sometimes as low as 13 in winter. Fiesta is like 32 city. The Maverick hybrid gets better city mileage than highway but beats both and I do 99% city driving...

I'm sorry having a truck with the same payload as my old ranger that gets better mileage than my Fiesta is a no brainer. I don't need a big truck, I don't tow, I may get some home depot stuff. The Maverick is perfect for me. And for 24k out the door... come on.

Sure I'd love a super awesome 4x4 2022 ranger but it doesn't serve any purpose for me. If I had disposable income I still wouldn't buy a new ranger. I'd buy a 1993 dodge ramcharger canyon sport for my offroad toy. Or if I had way too much money I'd build a scorpion rock crawler.

I'm too cheap to pull the trigger, but it would fit my daily driver needs perfectly! I've thought about it but I don't want a payment... other than registration and insurance my '97 daily driver is technically free after the accident last month...

This was my deal. I want NO PAYMENTS!!!

I'm actually trying to figure out insurance. My ranger is woth way over what insurance blue book is... so if I get full coverage again they total it for half the value? You've all seen what low mileage rangers sell for but no insurance company will cover that. What do you do in that situation? It's not classic, and how do I fight if it's totalled? They would hand me like 4 grand and say have a nice day, I could sell truck for 9 or 10 on this market!

I just have liability on both the ranger and Fiesta because of this. If full coverage doesn't cover the true value why pay 4 times as much....

I actually had a friend deal with that, his '88 4 runner was stolen, he had full coverage on it for whatever reason at the time (no, it wasn't an inside job or on purpose), they took all the stuff from inside, (like a week later) ditched it at a boat ramp with one lugnut on each tire... The insurance company totalled it since it was stolen then he bought it back for cheap but the value they gave was stupid low so they argued and gave the company several links to similar vehicles in classifieds and they got a much better settlement...

I have 20 years of a perfect driving record. Full coverage is for my mistakes. I have none and if I ever do, sucks for me and I'm OK taking that hit.... liability covers fixing the other drivers car if I hit them but not my vehicle. Fine with me. But if they hit me, or I have full coverage pay me what my vehicle is worth. My ranger should get 8-10k. Not 4... I can't buy a similar rust free low mileage vehicle for 4 grand.

Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
Congrats! And good luck with the first year of production problems. Mabey you'll get lucky and there won't be too too many.
