I just picked this up today, its a 7/90 missing 2.9 5spd. axle code 86 (open 3.73) Under the moss and dirt I found the words LARIAT, havent seen that before, any clues as to that. paid 500.00 cause its straight. I ll see if this photo bucket thing works or not.

Awesome truck! Always liked that style in supercab. Now a 4.0L insert with some 4.10 gears and a good wash and you'll be set. Never seen the lariat, maybe a dealer thing?

The Lariat is probably an aftermarket decal.

well the release lever is stuck out, so the park brake doesnt hold, and no engine means it wont hold either. so a couple 2x's had to suffice. I figured the lariat was a/m, but wondered if anyone else had/has or seen one.
So today I've decided to put my 4.0 out of my parts explorer in it, along with my 4" skyjacker lift. this also means I'll sell my 86 2wd xcab, and my 87 4x xcab.

very light surface rust on the front suspension, thats all. They dont salt the roads around here. so major corrosion/rusting away to nothing doesnt happen.
Unless of coarse you live on the coast. But thats salt air.
