Can't see anything wrong with it from what I know...nice work though.

Did you remove the jack stands from under the truck before jumping on it? (lol...I've done something like that myself)...
Lol!!
Thanks!

The jack stands are under the axle so there should definitely be some give. Someone suggested that since I tightened all the leaf spring bolts while the axle was unsupported, leaf springs extended, with the new poly bushings things might be too tight to give. Also the lowering shocks have a higher spring weight...
I think I'm going to loosen the bolts and see if that lets it drop.

If you tightened the bolts with no weight it will make a difference. Especially the shackle bolts, the bushings act like springs too. I could vary the height on my truck with no box by quite a bit by tightening the bolts with and without weight on the back.

Okay awesome thank you very much. I will loosen the bolts in the shackles and see if that lets it drop down

It didn't seem to help much. But I'm not familiar with different spring rates, since these are lowering shocks, and supposed to be stiffer. I'm going to tighten it all back up after the bed goes on, then install rear sway bar...take it for a cruise and see what's up... before I stress any more right now.

Worst case scenario, I install stock shackle to drop it a little more so the shocks aren't maxed out

I painted my rear rotor hats today as well

looks good, truck has come a hell of a long way!

I would paint the vane part of the rotor too for the hell of it, leaving only the friction surface. Id be interested to see how long high heat paint held up on the rotor, especially inside the vanes.

rotors i put on my explorer last year look 25 years old now after one winters salt got into the vanes

Thank you!

Yes I thought about doing the vanes as well. I will probably go ahead and do that tonight thanks for the tip
I hope the paint lasts a while, but who knows it's just spray can caliper paint from O'Reillys

Called O'Reillys and they wanted almost $200 for a new fuel filler neck! I ended up calling the salvage yard that I got my rear sway bar from, I've already paid for the one brand new one they had, only $79 ?

Also, I loosened the bolts in the shackles and leaf spring, but I wasn't able to get any bounce out of the truck. At this point I am just going to finish everything up, put the bed back on it, and then tighten the shackles back up once it's on the ground. Give it a test drive and see what's up

Looks great...I love seeing work like this...I know pretty much the time and effort (and cost) needed to go this deep into a rebuild...

Those ultra thin tires should get you down real low too...:)

Yeah, but the ride's gonna suck. You'll feel every crack and hole in the road.

I tried to keep track for a while, I haven't counted in a long time haha definitely way too much money though

I don't have ultra thin tires guys, those wheels in the OP were on the truck when I bought it. I bought new 15-inch wheels and new tires that have plenty of sidewall

This is what was on the truck when I bought it. They were 20 inches and they definitely made even the stock ride rough

These are the new 15 by 7 wheels I bought and new tires

The tire isn't mounted in this picture, but you can see there is plenty of sidewall

In fact the new tires are slightly smaller in diameter than stock, so the new tires themselves really won't lower me much, it is all in the lowering beams and the axle flip
