Well just bored so I thought I'd post up some pics of my truck in its different stages. I bought it nearly stock with just a 3" BL and 31" toyo a/t. Since then I've taken parts off and added some on. Nothing major yet. I've had 29" swampers on to play around. Then had 33" mudders on at the end.

It sits now in front of the house because the oil pump went out and I slung a rod in it. Plans are this summer to drop in a "302" but I have been contemplating throwing in a 351w now. But behind that will be a world class T-5 followed by an explorer 8.8" with 4.56s and a spool.

After that I plan to fab up some new bumpers and a tire mount. Haven't decided on the suspension yet. Plans were to build it into a long travel prerunner but me and friend of mine are contemplating going in together and building one from a TIB front. So if that works out then just a Fabtech 5.5" lift and 35s will be going on.

The day I bought him..

With some 29" swampers..

Found some trail while camping that went 12 miles up the mountain and lead to this...

Yep, welding some spider gears..

Threw on some 33s..

I actually wasn't stuck for a 2wd believe it or not..

Some of the group..

I never thought I'd see the day...

That might be a problem..

Here's some videos I thought everyone might like to watch...

hahaha ya. No I actually didn't hydrolock anything. I came extremely close after the 2nd pass though. Water got sucked up and luckely it clogged the paper air filter into a ball and stalling out the engine saved it from doing that. Had about 10 gallons in the exhaust though haha. But just put a new air filter in it and it ran fine ever since.

haha ya. that was about 6 months later. Oil pump wasn't related. But oh well. I already had plans for the v8 swap, and this just makes me do it sooner. But it does suck to not be able to drive it right now

ya I go through withdrawls here and there. Especially since its camping season for us and I have to ride and my car won't make it down the roads and across the rivers where we camp. But I got over being pissed and sad pretty quick. Now I'm more anxious than anything. I know once the money is there it will get done extremely fast. My friend that owns a race shop where I just started kind of working now is more excited to do the swap than I am. Mainly because it will draw alot of attention toward his shop for doing the swap around here where it's really rare. He builds alot of Ford motors for drag cars mostly modular now but thats where the "302" comes in hehehe

Engine comes first. I'd rather have the engine and drivetrain in sturdy and the way I want it. Suspension I feel more comfortable modifying if theres issues. I would like to hope by the end of the summer. All depends on work. I'm working "part time" at the shop right now and am fixing to start the hiring process with the local county police department, so we'll see how that goes.

after the v8 comes the lift, tires, then buying some ranger fenders since there's none for my truck and making them fit. At the same time I'll be making some custom tube bumpers. Rear bumper with a swinging tire carrier on it.
