i got a 2007 xlt ranger 4x4 8.8 3.73 open diff part time 4x4 i thought it had L/S in it well thats what the told me it had but the sticker code for the axle is 96 witch is open diff i think i told the dealer about it they havent got back to me so im prob. f--k-- i bought it for winter driven no mudd running or trails with the open diff would this be good thing or should i try to get an L/S put in i feel the delear should have to stand by there wods but they prob. wont open vs l/S SORRY FOR ramblen JUST had to let of some steam any advice thanks

I have never had a limited slip, it would make things a little easier in 2wd but in 4x4 I have always got to where I need to be.

a l/s can make you truck spin around in snow and ice and lose control

L/S exists for a reason.....and it was a selling point on your sale.


If I bought a vehicle and it ended up not having it when I asked or was sold the vehicle for having it, I would literally go ballistic. It's not like it's a true drop in item.

well delear got back with me, well i was right im f--k-- " well we cant do any thing for you the trucks been off the lot for 5 mounths but we can put l/s in it for you for 2000.00
bucks ther out of there mind car dealers will tell u anything to make the sell
