my front rotors are pretty warped, i'm interested to hear yalls opinion on having them turned. is it worth having them turned or will they just warp again? Would it be better to just get new ones? having them turned costs $14, new ones are $50. I don't mind paying the extra money if i know that they will last better.

If they are badly warped the probably cannot be turned without getting on the ragged edge of minimum. They are not make with much meat these days.

I'd just take them off and go to the machine shop and see if they are within spec. I like to stay above the minimum. If it's right at minimum, I'd dump them. As a general rule, I only turn them once anyway. Like previously mentioned, you don't get much extra meat on them nowadays.

the truck has 240,000 miles on it, I've owned it since 168,000 and as far as I know these are the stock rotors. if that makes any difference.

It's not worth taking the chance, put new ones. Brakes, is not an area to get cheap in.

Like Martin says, I'd replace them for sure then. That's a lot of miles for rotors.

Also if the rotors are warped and you turn them they will be much thinner and will not dissipate heat as well and they will warp even faster.

I would just get new ones. and if you get good ones they have plenty of meat on them its the cheap chineses ones and what not that you have to watch out for.

Ya I just went and got new rotors at NAPA. Decent price. I had to use a bolt and nut to push rotor off passenger side cause it was badly rusted lol.
