I recently picked up a 2006 SuperCab FX4 4x4 with a 5 speed and found this forum when doing some searches for information, so figured I'd join up and say hello!
This is the first Ranger I've owned, though I'm not a complete stranger to them - my uncle owned an '85 4-cylinder 5-speed manual Ranger (IIRC, it was a base model with no options) that he bought new and it was a reliable and fun workhorse for him for many years.
My Ranger is in good shape for its mileage (226K) and age, but like many well loved vehicles she needs a few bits and pieces to make her 100%. I'm looking forward to getting the details sorted and getting to know some other Ranger owners along the way.
I'm currently working on an Explorer seat swap, specifically figuring out how to mount the Ranger seat belt latch and pretensioner on the Explorer seats. I prefer power seats and the original seats have no lumbar support, the foam in general is very worn out. Too bad I couldn't find a set of power heated seats in any of the junkyards around me...
