Anyone else run into this issue? Passenger side cool as can be, drivers side about 10-15 degrees warmer. Digging into YouTube found SSM 49264 Ford bulletin. Looks like 07/2020 + trucks have the new design HVAC box. Mine is a 6/2020......... There goes my luck again. Bulletin is calling for entire box replacement, found one fella that just replaced actuator, mine does not have the ticking noted in the videos or bulletin but its hot. At 95+ degrees daily I think I am going to replace the actuator and hope for the best. Even if it makes it a year better than entire dash removal and box replacement, outside of warranty.. Just getting thoughts/opinions if anyone else with a 19-20 has had issues.

Sounds like a blend door issue to me. Anyway to check operation and troubleshoot the system sending proper signal without tearing the dash apart? I only ask since it could be a wire or switch issue. I haven’t really cared for the buttons in the dash since day one.

yeah agreed, specially since i didnt have any noise associated. Be nice if actuator just crapped out. i am going to dig in this evening should be able to get actuator out from under steering column and hope to reconnect and see if it moves, then i will move mechanism with finger/screw driver and see if AC cools. Hoping for the best... I will keep this post update. Not sure how many pre 8/20 Rangers are here but seems like a common problem.

My Jan. ‘19 build seems ok still, but there have been a few times where if I put my hand over the right or left vents it seems as if they aren’t in sync with their temperatures.

And for what it’s worth, I always use Auto for climate control, set at 20-21 Celsius in the summer, and 22-23 in winter. Same temp setting for both driver and passenger sides.

There is a video for changing out the temp control actuator, Google: 2019-2020 Ford Ranger Climate Temp Will Not Adjust - SSM 49264

But not sure if thats your issue, if you can adjust temp but, just not on drivers side
Maybe its a temp sensor issue
To do dual, or left/right, climate control, each side would need its own temp sensor and blend door actuator
But maybe the one in the video is drivers side?

My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
Apologies if slightly off topic, but I am curious...is it abnormally hot there this summer?

I ask because here in L.A. CA area, it is abnormally cool. Here we are in mid July, its still 70's 80'sF days here...and normally its well into consecutive triple digit days by now...The desert areas and Vegas is still hot, but cooler than usual, as in 90s instead of 110's. I figured the heat went away this year, but perhaps it just moved east.
