Im pondering the issues im having with rusty 2.0 (flooding, power loss, etc when warm) and i gotta question...
I replaced the O2 sensor on a whim trying to figure this out. I did find a bad wire to thr O2 after i changed it...
However, before i changed it i had no codes related to the O2.
Now i do.
The factory 02 (87 ranger) was skinny on top, the new one is fatter and overall looks different. Well i jumped online on a hunch and every replacement O2 i find is skinny for an 86-88 2.9.
Every fat O2 lists it for an 89-92 2.9.
Is it possible to have the wrong O2?
Forgive me if this sounds stupid. But i really dont know.
