Any of you swap a 1st gen reg cab longbox's 2 piece driveshaft for a one piece unit? No big deal to get a custom length one built but I was wondering if there was something stock Ford that would fit.........

I see a Supercab has an "assembly". Not sure what that means.

Yeah, both my 85 and 86 parts truck had one piece. 4wds though

Supercabs had two piece with a carrier bearing.

Not super familiar with 2wds though.

When you go looking for a "carrier bearing" it may look a lot like a part from the transmission.
They named the "carrier bearing" a "center bearing" on this truck

Rock Auto does list a carrier bearing for a 1987 Ranger pickup. I looked up 1987 driveshafts earlier and it seems to have the same selection as the 86.

Maybe it's just in the newer 93's :D I'm really not sure where I heard that, was it a parts store or a Ford house.
I went in to get a carrier bearing and came out with a Center Bearing. I'm not sure but it looked a lot like a carrier bearing to me
