New head bolts ar always a given. Studs are different they are optional. Torque to yield means they stretch. I got all my parts from ebay, just don't use cork gaskets. For valve cover gaskets get a seperateset f gaskets.

Yes to new head bolts. They are 100% non-reusable. Only get Motorcraft head bolts. I have heard of aftermarket ones, particularly Fel-pro ones, backing off even when torqued correctly.

When I rebuilt my 4.0 I got a Fel-pro full engine set. I also got a small can of the spray-on copper high temp silicone RTV and put a light coat on the head gasket, just enough to turn them orange. It helps the grab and seal better.

If you have tick I would suggest getting new push rods. Can't hurt to do a thermostat while you are there either.

Don't forget there are 2 different versions of the Lower gasket. The rubber and metal is supposed to be better. You have to ask for a 95 4.0 to get it though.....
