I was recently nominated for Offroad Truck of the Month (thanks C-Note). Since most of my pictures are hiding in the prerunner forum, I thought that I would post up some specs and photos in the "Show Off" thread.

Stats:

  • 2000 4X4 "Offroad"
  • 3.0 L V6
  • Stepside (Replaced)
  • RCD 5" Lift (Replaced)
  • 33X10.50 BFG Mud Terrains on Black Steel Wheels (Replaced)
  • Custom Bed Wilderness Rack (Removed)
  • Rocky Road Outfitters "Super Sliders"
  • Wrap around prerunner style bumper
  • 2 Lightforce 240 10" HID offroad lamps
  • Cobra in-dash CB radio w/ Wilson 500 antenna
  • Alpine deck
  • Scan Gauge II
  • Garmin GPS

  • Dixon Brother's Long Travel Suspension
  • 8" King remote reservoir coil over shocks
  • 2" King hydraulic bump stops
  • Heim steering
  • Giant Motorsports Long Travel Leaf Springs with dropped hangers and flipped shackles
  • Fiberwerx 6" flair fiberglass (all 4 corners)
  • 315/70R17 BFG All Terrain KO (35X12.5)
  • Full width 2003 Ford F150 9.75 Axle (13" disk brakes, posi, 4:88 gears, 34-spline axles)

Truck has been featured in 4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility Magazine.

Now for some pictures. Unfortunately, I can not seem to find any pictures of the truck in it's stock form. Oh well, they were not much fun anyway.

Not really a pre runner as it is a 4x4.

Yes, prerunners can be 4x4. If you look closely though, you can see that he's no longer 4x4, the front CV's have been removed, along with the axle i'd assume.

Thanks for the compliments. Prerunners can be 4x4. 4x4 actually comes in handy when you are checking out a race course. During a race, you can power through silt, sand and rocky sections. During a prerun you are often traveling at a slower rate of speed and are more likely to get stuck in challenging areas. 4x4 also comes in handy when the 2wd prerunners get stuck.

I am 2wd right now, as I need to regear the front differential to 4:88. Axles will be reinstalled once I can regear the front end.

Damn dude, that is a beautiful rig. Love the places you go wheeling, too, would LOVE to take my bikes out there.

Stuff like this makes me want to make my Ranger and offroad truck.

All over. In order of appearance: Florence, Sedona, Jerome/Mingus, and Tucson. Lots of cool places to explore out here.
