Quick question about 15x10 inch rims on a 99 ranger with 1.5 inch torsion twist and 3 inch pa body lift. what backspacing would i need to fit a 31x10.50 on a 15x10 rim to not rub excessively? standard backspace of 3.75 or so? thanks in advance

I am running 15x8's with 31's and no rubbing and no lift and no t bar crank. 10 inth rims are too wide for a 31X10.50 get a set of 15x8's or go with 33x12.50s

yes please whatever you do do not get 10 wide rims for a 31x10.5 tire...IMHO that is soo goofy looking and im not sure if a tire place will like the idea either. stick with either a 7 or 8 inch wide rim. please

basically my idea behind it was that when i stepped up to 33s, (Someday), i would then have the correct rims and wouldnt need to spend another 200 on rims. Is there any difference in performance on a 31x10.5 on a 15x8 vs a 15x10? just wanna save money if i can. Thanks for your input, i appreciate it

well i was saying that you could just run 33's on a 8" wide rim. If you keep it at like 30psi they will be just fine. but running a 31 on a 10 inch wide tire will ruin your 31's no matter what. it will wear out the edges. Just go with the 8" rims. get really cheap crappy ones if you want then sell em and trade up to 10's if you feel you need too.
But with 8 inch rims the 33's won't rub nearly as bad on the fenders as a 10 rim.
