So i was poking around the ol BII and out of curiosity i tapped hard on the eec relay and the engine stumbled and then recovered, the relay is fairly new so i changed it out for a spare tapped on it and the the engine stumbled again.I tapped on the fuel pump relay and no change or stumble.
Should the engine stumble like that or could i have a bad relay?Does this sound familar at all to anyone?

The impact from tapping on it is probably causing the contacts inside to "bounce" for a millisecond, causing them to open the connection for that amount of time.
If the relay otherwise operates normally, I wouldn't be concerned over it.

pressure in the fuel system acts as a buffer.
