Hello,
For some time my radiator reservoir would bubble up and I would lose fluid from under radiator cap. It overheated 2x and I had mechanic flush it and test it. He said radiator / tstat were fine and the reason it overheat was head gasket was loose causing one of the radiator pipes to heat up. He said I was losing power due to the loose head gasket as well.I got a new radiator cap.
I get heat just fine and I am still losing fluid. About 1 inch drop in reservoir when I drive on the highway. After he flushed it the temp gauge does not go down when vehicle is shut off.
So I am still losing fluid after a flush and new radiator cap. The temp gauge is not going down when truck is shut off either. I checked oil and it does not appear discolored at all.
Any thoughts ?
thanks in advance
