Hi,

I am in the process of rebuilding my M5R1 transmission. I have found a few light chips on the outside of the teeth of the reverse output shaft gear.

Does anyone know where to buy one?

Thanks.

Is this it? Amazon is taking over the world.

No. That is for the countershaft. The chips are at the most 3 mm long and only .5mm or less deep. I am going to run it. It is my daily driver and need to get rolling again.

Thanks for looking though.

If you are set on running it, I would smooth off the chips with a flap wheel sanding disc.

I ran into the same thing putting mine back together last weekend. Turns out I have to take it back apart anyways because the rebuild kit I bought had the wrong 5th gear synchro (35 teeth instead of 30). What did you end up doing with your reverse gear?
