81-88 89-92 93-97 and 98 abd up... my concern is a fellow has an 82 for parts, i own an 87 they're the same minus motor and trans right

Pretty sure. They probably make some minor tweeks here & there, but that'd be about it.

Bodies were the same from 83-88, but in 85 or 86 they eliminated the vent window in the doors and went to a one piece glass. I think 86 was the first year for the one piece door glass. The dash panel over the instrument cluster and the instrument clusters changed around the same time. I know my 84 had 4 individual lights in the center between the gauge pods and my 87 has a one piece light cover with places for 8 lights behind it. That is all I can remember right now, hope it helps someone.

at one point they changed the radiator mounts, that's the biggest physical change in the cabs that I can think of off the top of my head for the '83-88 style
