The bedliner holds water between the liner and the bed. thus causing rust. the tail lights look terrible i agree.

And when I am done with a vehicle. its usually pretty much done. the exception was my mustang. I sold it due to the fact the cops hated it. and pulled me over every second day for 3 weeks for up to 45 minutes with no tickets. not one.

It was hard to let me 99 Ranger go..but I sold it to an elderly couple who live about three hours away. It should be in good hands...and I never see it.

At least it's clean and parked in a driveway where it's safe. It would be worse if you knew it was being beat to hell and not cared for.

I'm neutral on the taillights. :icon_confused:

My credo
Work hard and play harder
Yeah the whole tail light thing is a little iffy. Some Euro lights are just not meant to be on certain vehicles.

If none of use devoloped a emotional love for our trucks TRS wouldn't exist, I never sell my cars or trucks either I driv'em until either the chasis gives up or motor which ever happens first. Then I strip what i think is sellable before junking it.

Just rubber and iron..... I like every vehicle I have ever owned, and sometimes I think huh.... be nice to have a 4x4 with swampers for this hole.
Or dang, a dually would tow this better.
Or that Black Camaro would have had her going home with me, without paying for dinner.

But they are just a mechanical object that does what it is designed to do, If you wreck it does not cry, if it leaks oil it doesn't get embarassed, and if somebody pays you more than it's worth to drive it home a vehicle does not swell with pride at it's value.

Depending on the usefullness, current state of being pleased with a vehicle depends on the price. Absolutely everything I own is for sale.... damn good thing my soul isn't in a jar on my night-stand.

BTW: I think drop in bed-liners are disgusting (because of the damage they cause)....... they completely ruin a good bed once they are there. I would rather lose it and primer the bed black until I could afford a spray in at any cost!!!!!

My goal with my Ranger is to keep it for it's life, and see if it will last longer than the Nissan. (toyota powered)

I feel the same way about my old 93' single cab 3.0 I had. It was my second vehicle i had (the first being a Ranger also, still have it for hunting) and I never had a problem with it except when the distributor drive gear broke after 233,XXX miles, but i needed a fullsize so I bought a 2000 F-150 after my daughter was born. I sold the Ranger to a guy and the next time I saw it I noticed he ripped off the front bumper, the grill was broken out, and the tailgate was missing. It was depressing to see my old truck in that shape, since then I have moved to North Carolina due to military enlistment (dont have to see the old Ranger being destroyed anymore) and I bought a 94' x-cab 4.0 but it just isnt the same as my old truck.
