Looking at new front shocks and was looking at the Bilstein 5150's and wondered what valving to get for a ranger front end with 6" skyjacker springs. Their valving is 255/70 or 170/60? Any Ideas or just go with some pro-comp MX6's??? Thanks,

Owen

I put 255/70s on my BII, I figured they'd be stiffer than they are, but they're not overly soft. Unfortunately anything stiffer would need special ordering.

I've asked about MX6s in the past, the general consensus was they weren't anything special (the adjuster doesn't have much range, it's hard to tell all the way up from all the way down).

DO you think 2 would be needed per side in the front then for an xtra cab 4.0??? I have the duff coil buckets with dual shock mounts and thought if one good one per side would work I'd just go with that unless more is needed. But I also don't have jeep springs, just 6 in skyjacker ranger spring in the front.

just a thought, by the time you by double 5100 bills, you could come real close to the price of a 2.0 shock. and then you could vavle it as stiff as you like or as soft as you like.........
