Looks like fun! Bet you learned to love a shovel after that day, haha

Just curius, and not to get off topic, but do those Mud Terrains do very well in the snow? I might be looking for new tires at a 4wd swap meet and am looking at what to maybe get.

Thnks, ya i like them, they have gotten me trough some serious mud but in snow no matter what tires you have, Chains and a shovel are a must.

Chains aren't a must i routinely drive through lots of snow with no chains and no problems. Nobody uses chains here and we get all the good weather... Snow rain ice wind.

what the chains are mainly for is when you compact the snow to slick slippery ice which is what happens when a bunch of trucks smash it down.

I'm not trying to say chains won't give you more traction, just that they are more of an extravagance than a necessity.

That packed down snow is how the road usually is here. Winter tires on cars is a necessity but there's still people who don't get it. They're the ones in the ditch.
