Hi everyone,
I bought a ranger a few months ago as a project truck. When I first got it it would sometimes start and the engine would die shortly after. RPMs would drop and it would sputter off. I replaced the fuel filter and it solved the issue. 500 miles later it started acting up again, it would have trouble accelerating up to highway speed and one day it turned into a complete no start. (engine would crank and turn over but not start.) So I replaced the fuel filter a second time and it started up immediately. Not even 50 miles later same issue (no start).
Today it started so I put some sea foam in there to see if that makes a difference. I think my next step is to get the bed off and look in the tank. Before I do that, is there any suggestions on what I could try next? I like trying the easiest stuff before taking things apart. Thanks.
