Does anybody know if there is a sport steering wheel available for the 83 ranger? I’d like something similar to what they put in the full-size trucks and some cars in the 70s. Generally it was a black steering wheel with three chrome spokes with a Ford emblem in the center.

I've had a few of those back in the day.

Google Grant steering wheels... you will also need an adaptor. The Ford emblem... might just have to find one and stick it on the center horn button.

I had a grant wheel in mine, they have a lot more offset than the factory wheel and was irritating to drive with. It was too close to my tummy.

I have a Grant wheel in my '86 right now, it's one of the four spoke models and is not offset outwards very much. I like it. I had a three spoke one very similar to the one above but it had wood on the outside instead of rubber...looked super good but it was offset way too far out and it also was uncomfortable to drive with.

Yeah I was looking for one that had no offset and was completely flat just like the one that’s in there now. Thanks for the replies.

Don't forget about diameter. If it's too small, your speedometer and tach are pretty much unusable. At least at the angle I sit.

Makes it harder to steer too.

On my truck, that would be very welcome. I don't really care for the super light steering.
