I collected the hardware for a simple 1" body lift... And had some time so I started to tear things down to access the bolts like the plastic liner in the bed and pull up the vinyl in the cab... found some nasty rust. Held my breath because I was hoping it wasn't too far gone.

Yikes, I removed the tar-stuff insulation, floor looks mint minus the driver pan.

Por15 ish stuff and cleaned everything up.

Painted (looks white, Grrr I had this in stock, tremclad - doesn't matter no one will see it anyway)

Cleaned the vinyl, had to use the pressure washer to get the rust stains out, looks clean now (not this pic). Also managed to tear it... Don't ask.

I also sanded down the seat brackets and painted those black. Truck should look minty once put back together. Now time to start the body lift, this weekend I guess.

Nice clean up work. Do you have a water leak on the drivers side ?

Yes, good job. Did you replace the driver side pan or just clean it up and paint it?

One thing I've found, for some reason, the white Tremclad does not work as well as the blue. I have no idea why, but I painted my seat brackets on the driver side white and the passenger side blue. They were both left out in the weather from last August until recently and the blue ones have no rust...the white ones look worse than before I did them...

Maybe just a bad can of paint...but I now need to redo the driver side brackets...with blue!
