I’ve got a 2008 ranger sport manual with a tilt wheel, when I am turning the steering wheel sometimes clicks, just once usually.
When the truck is stationary if I move the wheel up and down it will click also, not if I try to move it side to side though.
If I push on the dash under the instruments it gets quieter and almost goes away, the harder I push the quieter the click is.
The sounds is definitely on the inside of the cab as I’ve rolled down the window and cannot hear it inside then engine bay near the actual shaft itself. I’ve tried moving the steering shaft and there is minimal play.
Please help, my truck has the airbag recall and I need to drive it to work everyday. I don’t want to die cause I lost steering and catch some airbag shrapnel
