im lokin to change my ac over to an air compressor for offroading, also i am having fuel issues..

i replaced my fuel filter awhile back and nothing really happend, then i went for a auto to manual swap but i kept the auto harness and ECU..

the electrical could cause a problem??
or would it just be my fuel pump??

Check your fuel pressure, if its good then its not your pump. If your pump is good check for fault codes that could derate your engine.

As for the compressor, look up red-dot they sell tons of adapters, couplers, hoses, etc for A/C. Makes it easy to fit to air tanks and route hoses.

Second, buy a normally closed 120psi pressure sensor from a truck shop and hook it inline with the power switch to the clutch. That way the compressor will turn on and off automatically when you turn it on and not over pressure.:icon_welder:

you can not use a AC compressor as an air compressor an regular AC comp. uses freon as lube and once you take that out of the system you will burn it up fast. waht you need is a york air compressor you can mount them and and they will run off your exsiting serptine blent that you have and they will fillabout a 10 gallon tank in about 5 to 10 mins and they have a oil tank on them so no need to run oil lines from your motor to lube them up the only thing you need is some air lines rated at about 100 to 150 psi. i had one on my yota it worked great i had it fill up a one of our vol. fire dpets old air bottles and that held about 45 mins of air so about 5 gallons. i got my york compressor off a volvo cant remeber the year i paid about 100bucks for it. if you need help with the parts you need let me know and ill give you a list of what all i used and the wiring digrams i got to wire it up to kick on
