Strange Problem

Started this evening. Truck would not idle. Got on the road and was cutting out especially under moderate acceleration. Got home and something smelled hot under the hood but really couldn't find anything. No lights or codes - yet. Started up again and it now will idle and seemed to drive ok except that when shifting gears or actually anytime I get off the gas it hangs around 2000 rpm.
2002 4.0 extended cab manual trans. Just looking for some ideas....

Maybe the iac is stuck open, engine's breathing too much air at idle? Just a thought.

Check the maf in and output voltage readings as well.
