I have a 4r44e trans. I just rebuilt due to the Bell housing was cracked. It was shifting fine when I pulled it out. After rebuilding and reinstalling the trans seems to be stuck going forward. It was not over or under serviced all electrical connections were good. and It all so showed that the trans range sensor is working correctly (the reverse lights are coming on).
So I pulled the pan to check the solenoid operation with the key on in park all 5 solenoids are active. My rebiuld book shows me only one should have be active in P or N. Also in 1 and all other gears all solenoids have 12V.
Would this be why it will only go forward and what would cause all of the solenoids to be active?
