I need summer tires for my Ranger, 84 2.0 5spd 2wd. I don't drive the truck nicely around turns so handling/grip is important. If you have used one of the tires in the poll give some reasons you liked/hated it. If you suggest one that isn't on the list please say what it is. Also, handling is very important! And thanks in advance! :icon_thumby:

I've got the Toyo TPT's, had them on the wife's car for about 30k miles before she got snow tires for the winter. She was too afraid to drive the car in the ice/snow with the Toyos on there, I drove the car and didn't see what the problem was:icon_confused: Probably operator error.

Anyways, they handle pretty well and wear great, we have about half-tread on ours at 30k.

Love the Cooper Cobra's. A very Impressive tire. I had a set (245/60R15 in front 295/50R15 in back:D) on my ranger before I totalled it. The tire could handle any turn I threw at them. Hardly ever squealed around ridiculous turns. Still 98% tread left(only had them on since December).

Not to mention that after a 70 MPH crash, ONLY ONE TIRE SUSTAINED DAMAGE. A bulge in the sidewall from hitting a curb and landing on the meridian at at least 45.

Havn't ever had to use just for the Summer but have been looking for this Summer. The Firestones have gotten good reviews but I'm really leaning to the General Grappers. Part of the problem is finding them in the sizes you want.

All of the listed tires are made in sizes to fit my Ranger and available to me.

And thanks for the votes! :icon_thumby:
