I bought a used 1950 that was used to tune a diesel. I paid to get it un VIN-locked but all the info still shows for the old truck like vin number and such..

Just want to make sure when I plug it into my 2011 ranger that it wont try and load the diesel tune and just mess everything up..

basicly im gun shy about tuning my truck haha
anyone have any issues or experinces with using used tuners or similar experiences

I did the same (although reverse) with my old 1950. I unlocked my gas truck to put the tuner on the diesel and it showed my info until he tuned his truck. After that he was leaving thick double 11's behind his truck as he left the parking lot. I found that the milage tune gave about the same mpg as performance when i kept my foot off the go pedal
