I really need to give a huge THANKS to 4x4junkie!

I've been wrenchin' (non-pro) on cars for over 15 years now. There isn't much I won't try to fix, and most things I get done just fine (read: not too much swearing or skin/blood lost). I've done nitrous installs, top end swaps, head gaskets, brakes, suspensions, stereo, clutch and transmission - all kinds of stuff!

However, in all this time there are only 2 things i've steered very clear from - body work and alignments. I don't have the necessary equipment to do those those satisfactorily (for me).

UNTIL NOW!

With HUGE THANKS to 4x4junkie's tech article in TRS's 2008 Magazine ( http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/winter2008/steering_tech.htm ) I have done my own alignment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yahoo: :headbang: :icon_thumby: :icon_bounceblue: :icon_cheers: :icon_hornsup:

I am very pleased with the results. While it's certainly not perfect, it's very close and I feel absolutely safe while driving. I have all the vehicle control that I know this truck should have.

So, 4x4junkie - TTTTTHHHHHAAAAANNNNNKKKKKSSSSS!!!!!

You really ****in' rock, man!

I had never seen that before now. Knew about ride height and camber angle, but the rest I just got done at a shop. Very very helpful! And you're right... 4x4junkie, you really do rock! This will save me, and I'm sure a whole lot of people money, and the frustration of wearing out tires!

Wow! Thanks guys, I appreciate it

I do have to say it's tough to find good accurate information out there about these suspensions, and is primarily what drove me to write articles like that one. I've even had people try their damnedest to tell me I'm wrong too lol, but hard facts like that just don't lie.

I appreciate the support guys. Always glad to help out

I hear you. From what I've seen a D30 SAS will put you in the 1/2ton SAS group.

Don't know why we didn't think of that before. We'd have been miles better off with that beam axle.
